چکیده
Abstract Objective To explore the advantages of urinary matrix metalloproteinase-7 (MMP-7) in evaluating renal tubular injury minimal change disease (MCD) and focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) patients compared with cystatin C (CysC) retinol binding protein (RBP). Methods Serum urine samples were collected from 20 healthy volunteers, 40 MCD FSGS patients. MMP-7 levels measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Urinary total (UTP), CysC RBP automatic specific analyzer creatinine (Cr) level for calibration. The tissue serial sections stained immunohistochemistry periodic acid-Schiff. Results Under light microscopy, granular weak positive expression was showed sporadically cytoplasm a few epithelial cells without obvious morphological changes patients, observed some There no significant difference serum among three groups. Compared control group, higher, but not increased significantly. group MMP-7, upregulated Conclusions could only evaluate mild massive proteinuria, also continuous

Minimal change disease and focal segmental glomerulosclerosis.
Minimal change disease (MCD) accounts for greater than 90% of cases of nephrotic syndrome in children. In adults, MCD accounts for 10–15% of nephrotic syndrome. FSGS is increasing in incidence in adults and children, and in the USA, in adults, is now the most common cause of nephrotic syndrome w1,2x. MCD shows normal glomeruli by light microscopy. Associated acute interstitial nephritis suggest...

Treatment of nephrotic syndrome due to minimal change disease and focal segmental glomerulosclerosis remains a challenge since steroid dependence, steroid resistance and a relapsing disease course exhibits a high cumulative steroid dosage. The necessity of using alternative steroid-sparing immunosuppressive agents with potential toxic side effects also restricts their long-term use. Rituximab, ...

BACKGROUND Minimal change disease (MCD) and primary focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) are the main causes of primary idiopathic nephrotic syndrome in children and adults, with diagnosis being essential for the appropriate choice of therapy and requiring renal biopsy. However, the presence of only normal glomeruli on renal biopsy of FSGS patients may lead to the misclassification of thes...
